Hey guys,
yeah, we're looking for a new singer. Someone that's going to work and

all over Los Angeles, and other places like The Wire in Upland, Chain
Reaction in Anaheim, as well as a few festivals. We don't do a lot of,

about fun and music. We have a P.A. We play the type of rock with the thoughts of blowing doors off the hinges. 1st and foremost, dedication.

Wanted -Lead classic rock singer
|
|
Are you a lead singer that can sing in the vocal style and vocal range of Freedie Mercury, Jon Bon Jovi or Axl Rose?
Do you want a better and larger audience than is found in pubs?
If so King Kobra needs you.
We are a classic rock bournemouth based band performing a mixture of original and covers of anthemic rock tracks in the musical style of bands like Queen, ZZ Top, Bon Jovi, Guns and Roses, Dire Straits, Thin Lizzy etc with the aim of playing in larger music venues such as the Brook, Mr Kyps as opposed to pubs. Aim is to be gigging by the end of summer at the latest along with getting some recorded original tracks out in the market.
Band members already in place are Lead guiitar, Rhythm guitar, Bass and drums along with BVs.
Need that capable showman (or woman) vocalist to step up to the plate with us.
Cheers, Quartz - Lead guitarist

Professional Band Seeks Professional Singer
|
|
Hello all Vocalists that this post applies to,
My name is Chris C., and I play in a recently formed yet very professional metal band. We are currently looking for a vocalist to fulfill the very demanding shoes of a professional band whose music and consistency of playing shows under a major or independent label is their means of a career and income. We have been together for over 4 months but have been playing in seperate bands for about 10+ years. I've been playing drums for about 15 yrs. and my guitarist, Alex M., has been playing guitar for about 10+. Our bassist, Mike G. has been playing for over 12+ yrs. Even though we don't know you, we want you all to understand right off the bat that this is our 'last opportunity' for us to make this a career. It's do or die, so please do your best to understand where we're coming from and if you can connect with any of it, then we may be in business. We want you who is reading this to feel very comfortable around us cuz that's just who we are. We wanna make sure that if you did join the band, then from the beginning, everything was cool and tight. We give everyone the benefit of the doubt and we'd really like to try u all out ASAP. This post is a little long, but if you are a professional, then wouldn't you want to know as much as possible about someone or something before you get involved? Of course, so read on. First, the backstory so you can get to know a little bit about us:
Eight years ago, I had started a band, a band that I thought would really never do anything big, but just play shows in the immediate area (New Haven County) for fun. Boy was I wrong. We pumped out two demo records in just under a year, and within one year of 'touring' (which would actually consist of about 2-3 shows a month - nothing for a pro band) we were getting noticed by some heavy hitters. Two years after starting the band (I was only 17 or 18) we were approached by a major label with a 1/4 of a million dollar signing bonus deal for two records and three full length tours (2-3 months each). Unfortunately to make a sad long story short, our guitarist bailed as he had other plans. So here I am 8 years and three bands later. I had just about given up on drums (i would def. consider myself semi-pro - if you think pro is just because your technically the greatest ever at your instrument you're dead wrong, being a professional means u do this for a career) and pretty much retired from being a musician.
I dedicated my life to film and television and that's what I've been doing for the past two years. Amidst my film and television networking, I happened to meet a really cool guy named Alex M. Not a rockstar's name but neither is 'Saul Hudson', but let me tell you def. a rockstar guitar player. I worked with him on a film project and got close, and he started talking about playing music as he had the same predicament that I had (except for the whole major label thing). I said, 'I don't know man, I've been in retirement for almost 2 yrs. now and I know how hard it is to piece together a solid band that stands a chance in today's music world.' He said f*** that, trust me, let's jam just once, and if it sux then fine we'll give up completely. But if it rox and I mean rox! then we'll give being 'professional musician's as a career' another shot. We jammed, and needless to say, it was absolutely amazing. And I dont' mean amazing because it was the first 'real' jam session I had since I went into drummer retirement, but it was amazing because we clicked. Like a professional band should click. We're able to bounce off each other immediately and the sound that we produce (we have written nine songs with guitar, drums, piano, and bass - no vox) is so raw and killer that I KNOW IF IT GETS PRINTED IT'S GOING TO SELL!!!!!! [i know that's what everyone says, but trust me, it will] Truly so far, this is turning out to be an amazing VH1 Behind the Music, haha.
We began our hunt for a bassist as we wanted to fill out the instruments before getting a vocalist. We needed to find someone who was sick on guitar so that the transition to bass would feel and sound like a guitarist playing bass. Since we only believe in having one guitar player, the bass needed to compensate, and it certainly does with bassist Mike G. onboard. Unbeknownst to us, Mike has been playing in several bands in the same scene that my [Chris] previous band used to play. To make it even more of a 'VH1 Behind The Music" story, we even played some shows together without even knowing it!! Needless to say, we have filled out the instruments and are on the hunt for a vocalist.
So now that you know the back story, here is what we're looking for and looking to do. All three of us know that this is our last attempt to 'make it' in this almost impossible industry. We all have a backup plan just in case (i know from experience that this is the safest bet). Now that we have all the instruments, again all we need to do is find that vocalist and we'll be signed and off playing tours and making albums in no time, fulfilling every young kids dreams of being true rockstars. Easier said than done, but what I can tell you is that we have a 'never say die' attitude about the industry and this new band and since it is our 'last opportunity' we really truly are not going to let anything get in the way this one last chance. We need a singer BAD!!! A singer! One that can that can truly sing - that can carry melody and can harmonize and come up with some really amazing vocal arrangements and who can write lyrics extremely well. We need a singer that makes all the other artists look like amateurs. We want you to be as good as Mike from Bullet For My Valentine, as good as John Davis from Korn, as good as Chad from Mudvayne or Phil Anselmo from Pantera or Miles Kennedy from Alter Bridge or Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam, or Howard from Killswitch or Maynard from Tool (well, no one can be that good, but u get the point!). We want someone who truly is 1 in a million, and not 1 of a million. We want someone who can actually sing amazingly (mind-blowing) and someone who can scream if/when necessary (although Mike will do backing singing, Alex and I will be doing most of the screaming, should u not be able to). We need someone who is absolutely original and not just a knock off of somebody else. WE KNOW FOR A FACT WITH OUR DRIVE AND ATTITUDE THIS BAND WILL SUCCEED IF WE FIND THE RIGHT VOCALIST! I wanna keep stressing that to all of you!! I have tons of connections left over from a few years back that I still connect with so it won't be hard at all to play tons of shows and get 'noticed'. Plus with my film major, I know how to promote and advertise so I'll handle promoting the shit out of us so we can truly get noticed quickly within 5-7 months of starting. Our goal is to play 50 shows from October to the end of January, and then from March till May play 1-2 shows a week, and then by late spring early summer, start playing 2-3+ shows a week and hopefully by mid/end of late summer next year, we'll be talking with labels maybe even sooner than later. If we find the right vocalist, with the right dedication, then thats not a problem nor a non-realistic goal. This will def. build us a fan base and will get some labels to look at us. But getting noticed doesn't pay the bills and doesn't get us a record deal. We also want you to understand this doesn't mean you can't have a job, we all have jobs, but we are so hungry for this last opportunity we're scheduling around them so we can practice and play. When it gets to the point that we're making more money playing shows and gigging, then we'll worry about quitting our jobs, but for now we all need some sort of income.
We play metal/hard rock. A mix of Killswitch Engage, Sevendust, Pantera, Bullet For My Valentine, Metallica, [old]Korn, System Of A Down, Lamb of God, etc. and a whole slew of artists as you can't really say 'oh that sounds just like so an so' with our music (which is a great thing, it means it's original) - let's just say this sound is fresh, and when you hear it, you'll be like "Where do I sign up?! I want in!" The best thing about it, it's really heavy and some parts are really fast, but it's TOTALLY RADIO FRIENDLY!!! WHICH MEANS $$$$$$$$ AND POPULARITY!!! But much more importantly than money for our future families and popularity for our future ego's, the message that we want to deliver through our music is the most important reason why we are doing this.
Trust me ya'll we are pro's and if you want to 'get to the top' if you can hold your own, then this is truly the band for you. We have already come up with a name, and image, and have solidified our brand. But don't worry as you can tell we have a business mentality so the name, image, and brand will sell - trust you'll love it and think it's a perfect fit along with the positive message we're going for. We've trademarked the name and copyrighted the music and are in the process of getting our Federal Tax ID# for the band to be a legitimate business. The next step is management and then labels. We're getting as much of the business side taken care of now, so when it comes time to lawyers & labels, we'll have everything already either done or prepared. A label wants to see professionalism and that's what we'll be giving them on a silver platter. Hello record deal! We'll talk to you all more about that over the phone when you all call or when you all come down. Anybody can say they can sing and fumble around with a few notes or vocal melodies here and there, but it takes a real vocalist to actually mold a tight band.
Give me a call IMMEDIATELY so we can chat. We truly do look forward to speaking with all of you, and we hope you all have the talent you say you do. Please get back to me 203-234-0761 or try my cell which I always have on me 203-815-5627 [Chris]. We practice at my pad (a sweet setup, perfect for a band/studio) in North Haven, CT -- I know it might be a haul, but keep this in mind, my guitarist Alex, travels from Greenwich every single time we play (1-3x/wk) which is a 3.5 hour round trip every time! THAT'S A COMMITMENT SO YOU CAN TELL HOW SERIOUS WE ARE. Thanks for reading this long ass post and I can't tell you enough, that this might be the opportunity for you. If you've read this far, then you're obviously intrigued, all you need to do is take the final step; pick up the phone and call us!
Please if you really wanna do this as a career or at least try to, then call my number immediately. Doesn't matter if you read this in 10-20 min and wanna call (it's 3:47am right now while i'm typing), go ahead and call if I don't answer just leave a messg. and I'll get back to you asap. Now that you know our history pretty much, Let's do this. YES, we do have samples that we can send you so you all have time to write some lyrics and be as PREPARED AS POSSIBLE DURING THE AUDITION. During the AUDITION, you'll be doing live vocals (with the band) and studio vocals (without the band to a track) so please focused and as professional as possible. Please DO NOT WASTE OUR TIME, as we don't have much of it and every second to us is precious. As of this post we have already tried out 7 singers and NONE are what we are looking for, so this just goes to show that we're not settling for average, or good, but we're ONLY settling for unique, amazing, mind-blowing. If you think you've got what it takes, then call immediately. Talk to you all soon and I can't wait for all of you to try out...
hopefully you're new bandmate,
Chris C.

VOCALS WANTED - Static-X, American Head Charge, Fear Factory, Spineshank etc.
|
|
VOCALIST/LYRICIST needed for reforming Electronic/Industrial Influenced metal band.
Influences/Image include: Fear Factory, Prong, Red Harvest, Soilwork, Sybreed, Mnemic, Meshuggah, Faith No More, Thorn, Slipknot, Mushroomhead, VOIVOD (Nothingface,Negatron and Phobos albums) Drown, Static-X, Circle Of Dust/Celldweller, Klank, Pitbull Daycare, Spineshank, White Zombie, 30 Seconds To Mars, Orgy, American Head Charge, Powerman 5000, Rammstein, Pitchshifter, Kidney Thieves, Dope, Coal Chamber, Hanzel Und Gretyl, Norma Jean etc.
Lots of sampling, synth and noise underlying a wave of heavy two guitar rythm that is sometimes simple and direct yet anchored by inverted chords and dissonance.
Lyrical content/ musical themes are based in the realm of technology (man vs. machine etc.) politics, conspiracy theories (ever seen Dark City?) and the like.
Ability to scream AND sing is essential though not in the way that most "metalcore" vocalists are doing it these days. PLEASE read the influences, being a "Jack of all Trades" singer is great but if you don't know the bands we're influenced by it's pointless.
Age 21-30 preferred.
We want people who understand the music of the bands we are influenced by and how important rythm, melody, timing and precision are in a song (without making the music too complicated) as well as how effective well placed silence can be.
Please check out the song clips FIRST at the link provided so there are no surprises and nobody is disappointed or feels like their time has been wasted when they meet us and then contact for more info.
